CVault Stash Case Review

The CVault medium, with about 6g of herbs inside

Developed by Freshstor technologies, the CVault is designed to be a highly durable storage system for your herbs. The CVault line of stash cases comes in a number of different sizes, and for purposes of this review I will be looking at the small, medium, and large varieties (which are the most popular). The CVault promises to keep your bud fresh using three different mechanisms (airtight seal, humidpak, and lightproofing). Since I always get strong smelling herbs, I wanted to see how well the smell would be contained.

CVaultsUpon initial inspection of the CVault, I noticed that it is manufactured with durable stainless steel. There was a rubber seal present designed to lock in moisture, and three clamps to help seal your bud in nice and fresh. Apparently the CVault uses a food-grade seal, and it appears to be quite durable. Inside the CVault is a space for a humidipak (to maintain 62% humidity) and it designed to keep your bud from drying out. I left some bud in one of the cases, and when I came back a week later I was pleased to see that the bud was just as fresh as when I left it! The instructions say to replace the humidipak every few months once it begins to solidify (a replacement pak costs about $1.80).

Upon placing some bud into the CVaults, I tried doing a smell test to notice if I could pick up any hint of bud. After being unable to detect any aromas, I handed some of my friends the CVault, and they were also unable to detect what was being stored inside. The smaller case could comfortably fit about 12 grams of herb, whereas the medium and large vaults could hold about 21 grams and an ounce respectively.

Overall, I was quite impressed with the CVault as a travel case. Not only are they much more durable than my old mason jar (pictured here), but it also keeps my bud fresh and ready for use without smelling up an entire room. You can pick up a CVault (or a kit!) here on PlanetVape. I like using the large version for at home use and take the small size with me while I’m on the go.

Arizer Extreme Q Tuff Bowl Review

The Arizer Tuff Bowl

One of the problems with owning a glass-on-glass (GoG) vaporizer is that occasionally pieces get broken. After having broken one of my Extreme Q Cyclone Bowls, I decided to order a Tuff Bowl and give it a try. The Tuff Bowl is an official Arizer part developed to fit both the Extreme Q and V-Tower. It is a glass cyclone bowl coated with a durable teflon material which is designed to prevent cracks and shattering during use.

Accidents Happen

After I received my Tuff Bowl, I decided to put it through a basic drop test. Starting at a drop distance of 2 feet, I let the tuff bowl fall on to a hard wood floor (from a horizontal starting position). After falling, the bowl rolled harmlessly and sustained no damage. Next, I dropped it at a height of 4 feet, and much to my surprise it remained intact (at this height, a regular Cyclone Bowl would shatter into pieces), and sustained no damage. The teflon coating also makes the Tuff Bowl easy to grab on to without worrying about slippages (which comes in handy if you try holding the bowl when its fairly hot).

Overall, I feel that the Tuff Bowl makes for a great Cyclone Bowl replacement, and it really gives you piece of mind in the event the bowl falls. I really hope that Arizer works on developing a tuff elbow next, as the regular Extreme Q elbow can break  if accidentally dropped. The Tuff Bowl also comes with a screen to allow you to get started with it right away.

Extreme Q Kush Case Review

The Extreme Q Kush Case

If you’re anything like me, then you probably enjoy taking your Extreme Q vaporizer around with you to friends places as well as to other locations. Because the Extreme Q has so many glass-on-glass parts, it can be a pain to pack it properly without worrying about breakage. The Extreme Q Kush Case however, looks to change that with its sleek well thought out design.

When I received my Kush Case, the first thing I noticed was the build quality. The case was very well built out of solid material, and the carrying straps were sturdy. Inside was space for the Extreme Q unit, two cyclone bowls, the elbow joints, vaporizer tubing, and a few other pockets to hold some other things. When the case is closed, eggshell foam protects the plastic parts agaisnt any accidental bumping or dropping.

After spending about two minutes packing things up, I was impressed how well everything fit into the case. The material fit snugly around all the glass parts, and I felt very confident that nothing would break while inside. I even experimented with dropping the bag from a height of 2 feet, and everything came out unscathed,

Overall, the Extreme Q Kush case is a great product to product your investment. Using the Kush Case gives me peace of mind while travelling with my vaporizer, VapeWorld currently has a deal on the Kush Case here, which nets you some free vaporizer balloons with every purchase! If you travel frequently with your Extreme Q, then I highly recommending purchasing the Kush Case.

Chromium Crusher Grinder Review

The Chromium Crusher

As  I mentioned in a previous article, using a quality grinder is essential in getting the most out of your marijuana vaporizer. After having used three grinders thus far, my favorite has been the Chromium Crusher.

Manufactured out of solid metal, the chromium crusher is able to make short work of even the stickiest bud. The sharp edges easily grind my cannabis into a very fine consistency which performs exceptionally well in all of my vaporizers. In addition, the handy kief catcher allows me to capture kief crystals over time and then adding kief to a bowl produces a very potent kick.

There are four parts to the Chromium Crusher, and its constructed out of durable metal, including the kief screen. You screw the parts together, and then twist the top much like a pepper grinder. If your grinder begins to have some resistance when you turn it, simply clean it using a pipe cleaner or q-tip dabbed in alcohol.

The Chromium Crusher Four Piece Grinder

Cleaning your Chromium Chrusher is very easy. Once a significant amount of kief has collected, leave your grinder in the freezer for about an hour. Afterwards the pollen should shake free from your Chromium Crusher quite easily, allowing you to spend little time on cleaning the grinder while still getting some great benefits.

Overall, I feel that the Chromium Crusher marijuana grinder is one of the best grinders on the market today. With it’s great kief screen, and sturdy metal construction I feel that it will last a long time before I need a replacement.
